Lìxúe* was 45 years old and had been losing her hair for about 15 years. While living in her home country she had tried the medical treatment available without success. Her sister, Mei, had moved to New Zealand some years before and had started treatment with Ashley and Martin for her own hair loss. Knowing Lìxúe would be interested in how well the treatment was working for her, Mei sent progress updates and photos of the results she was gaining with her treatment.
Now in Singapore, Lìxúe was pleased to find there was an Ashley and Martin clinic available to visit and she called to make an appointment. She came to the appointment with her husband and daughter and together they all discussed the treatment that was available through Ashley and Martin. Both Lìxúe’s mother and sister had suffered from hair loss; this genetic predisposition together with the pattern of thinning led to a diagnosis of Female Pattern Thinning, Ludwig IV. Extremely concerned she would end up like her mother who has very thin hair, Lìxúe signed up for a RealGROWTH® program for women and purchased a Laser Cap to perform Low Level Laser Therapy at home.
The first few months were a little worrying for Lìxúe as she felt she was experiencing a higher rate of hair fall than usual. Her consultant took the time to listen to her concerns and explained that after the 3rd month her hair would stabilise and start to feel fuller and thicker. Still a little apprehensive Lìxúe continued with her treatment.
After 4 months Lìxúe came in for a progress check-up with her consultant and was delighted with the new growth she was experiencing now the shedding had stopped. Now she would be able to send her own exciting progress photos to Mei in New Zealand.
